Handmade Authenticity & Measurements

Every piece from Clay Fairy Ceramics is handcrafted with intention. Due to the unique, handmade nature of my pottery, all measurements are approximate. While I strive to stay as close as possible to the descriptions provided, slight variations in size, shape, and finish are a hallmark of authentic, wheel-thrown, or sculpted art.

1. Crystal-Infused Ceramics

Pieces containing genuine crystals are hand-wash only. To preserve the bond and the natural beauty of the stone, please do not soak crystal-infused pottery in water for long periods. These special pieces deserve a gentle hand washing to stay vibrant and secure.

2. 24k Gold & Mother of Pearl Luster

Items finished with 24k Gold or Mother of Pearl are not microwave safe because they contain real precious metals. While these overglazes are stunning, they are delicate. I strongly advise against using a dishwasher for these specific items, as the abrasive nature of dishwasher cycles will wear away the 24k gold and luster detailing over time.

3. General Care, Food Safety & Materials

I take pride in the quality and safety of my materials. All of my glazes are 100% food safe and lead-free.

• Locally Sourced: My clay and glazes are proudly sourced from local pottery suppliers right here in U.K, Ireland and Northern Ireland. (The only exception is my crystals, which are ethically sourced from around the globe to ensure the highest quality for my designs).

• Dishwasher Use: My functional pottery is dishwasher safe. However, to extend the life and brilliance of your piece, hand washing is always a kind choice.

• Thermal Shock: To protect your ceramics, I recommend running your pot under warm water before pouring in extremely hot liquids—especially if the pottery feels very cold. This prevents thermal shock, which can affect any item containing glass (and remember, glaze is glass!).
